Located on Sebago Lake, Maine

Windemere was created by the Woldbrook Corporation, R Harold Gowen, President.

In late 1985 the first lots in Phase 1 were sold. As the Woldbrook Corporation originally had intended the lots in Windemere to be an extension of their White’s Bridge Condominium project, Windemere had to be approved in accordance with the “Maine Condominium Act”.

Easements and the creation of a separate association with its own bylaws and covenants had to be created. A Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions (Phase 1) was written for the Windemere Subdivision, and the Bylaws of the Windemere Home Owner’s Association were established.

The White’s Bridge Owners Association owns the beach, beach parking area, boat ramp and slips and they set the rules for the use of these areas. Windemere homeowners have established easements to use these areas. In a separate agreement the two tennis courts which are the property of the Windemere Association can be used by the White’s Bridge Owners Association.

In May of 1987 Windemere Phase 2 was established and with this and the addition of a few amendments Windemere grew to a total of 47 lots. Presently, all but three of these lots are developed. A separate Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions (Phase 2) was established for the Windemere Subdivision.

Great People. Amazing Area. Classic Maine.
